Provision of training and information

Aid is available for training and skills development.   As part of the LEADER Approach, such activity must fit under the broad headings of farm diversification, support for micro-enterprises, encouragement of tourism or conservation and upgrading of rural heritage.

Local groups will decide where gaps exist in the current skills base and tailor their programmes accordingly.  Areas that are likely to be targeted include;

Who can apply?

Farmers/Land Based Businesses
Funding will support farm diversification projects that keep vital services, skills, and money within the rural economy. 

Rural Micro-Business
Funding will support your set up and growth.  A micro-business is an enterprise with less than 10 employees and less than two million Euros annual turnover.

Communities
Funding will support schemes to broaden community involvement within the natural and cultural heritage and tourism sectors,
