Applehead Gravity Festival 2009 re-arranged for:

Development project brings high-octane racing to Lincolnshire

Adrenaline-packed biking, carting and skateboarding are coming to Lincolnshire ’s Cadwell Park , as part of a community-driven racing festival funded by the Lindsey Action Zone (LAZ).  The Applehead Gravity Festival – taking place from 9am on 15 November – received the support as part of this rural development initiative.  Funding of this project is part of £2m that was awarded to LAZ by the East Midlands Development Agency, after a successful bid by the county council. 

 

Gates open at 9am.   Cost of entry is £5 per carfull.  Trophies will be presented at 4.30pm.

Farmers/Land Based Businesses
Funding supported farm diversification projects that kept vital services, skills, and money within the rural economy. 

Rural Micro-Business
Funding supported set up and growth.  A micro-business is an enterprise with less than 10 employees and less than two million Euros annual turnover.

Communities
Funding supported schemes to broaden community involvement within the natural and cultural heritage and tourism sectors,

The Lindsey Action Zone geographic area covered the Lincolnshire Wolds, the market towns of Louth, Caistor, Market Rasen, Horncastle, Spilsby as well as Woodhall Spa and Coningsby and Tattershall and their rural hinterlands during the last programme.
